On the morning of September 11, 2009, a solemn remembrance ceremony was held at the U.S. Embassy chancery to honor the victims of the terrorist attacks of 9/11/01, in which nearly 3,000 people lost their lives.  Foreign Minister Paula Gopee-Scoon laid a wreath at the memorial site, joined by U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Len Kusnitz.  Family members of the 14 Trinbagonian victims laid flowers to honor and remember their loved ones lost in the terrorist attacks eight years ago.
