On February 27, students from University of Mary Washington,
Virginia, were briefed by Embassy
Officers

On June 5, Duke University volunteers from DukeEngage Program of civic service were briefed by Embassy officers  

On June 10, 2009 Fulbright
grantees attended a pre-departure
orientation program 
 Point Fortin Home1 Rio Claro/Mayaro Group2
On July 21, students from Mayaro District received a presentation on U.S. history and government by Political Officer, John CushingOn July 31, a group of 30 secondary students from Point Fortin and 5 adult chaperones heard presentations on the U.S. educational system, culture and geographyOn August 13, a group of 24 students from  Rio Claro, Manzanilla and Mayaro enjoyed a presentation on working with the media, film-making, environmental awareness, and educational opportunities in the U.S.
