Beyond the Horizons 2009 Medical Treatment and Community Projects Concludes

After providing free medical treatment to over 7,000 rural residents, the partnership of U.S. and T&T medical teams held a closing ceremony on August 20, 2009 in Barrackpore to formally conclude nearly three months of service to communities across Trinidad. Since its inception in June, thousands of citizens received medical and dental attention in community centers in Toco, Matura, Valencia, Debe and San Fernando. Over 600 eyeglasses were distributed during this time, and hundreds of medical, eye and dental exams and procedures were completed to benefit rural residents of the island.
