Crewmember Visas (D or C1/D)
Individuals working on cruise ships, cargo ships, or for airlines, who will enter the U.S. by sea or air to board their vessel or on board their vessel, must have a C1/D visa.
Crewmembers can apply for a C1/D visa at the Embassy between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday, except for U.S. and Trinidad and Tobago holidays. The requirements and applications procedures for a Crewmember Visa are discussed below. General application procedures are also outlined in the How to Apply section of the website.
Application Requirements
Applicants for C1/D visas should bring the following documents to their interview:
- A receipt from TT Post for the US$131 (TT$825.30) application fee;
A current passport as well as any previous passports containing U.S. visas;
One passport sized photo (2 inches by 2 inches) with a white background; and
An employment contract, valid crew letter, and/or seamen's book.
NOTE: Submission of any fraudulent document may render you permanently ineligible for a visa to the United States.
