Drop Box

What Is The Drop Box?

The drop box is a method that enables individuals to submit their applications and necessary documents without appointment or interview. Visas are normally processed and returned via TT Post courier within 2 weeks.

Consular officers reserve the right to request that an applicant be interviewed. Use of the drop box does NOT guarantee issuance of a new visa.

The drop box is located inside the visa pavilion on Marli Street and is open daily from 9:00 until 11:45 a.m.  If qualified, applicants will be directed to pay the courier fee of TT$23 at the TT Post desk before using the drop box.

Who May Use The Drop Box?

  • Only adults 80 years of age and over.

NOTE:

  • As of April 1, 2006, all applicants between the ages of 2 and 80 must schedule an appointment and appear in person for an interview. All child applicants over the age of 2 must appear with their parents or legal guardians. The personal appearance of children under the age of 2 is not required but their applications must still be processed through the normal appointment procedures by their parents/guardians.
  • Applicants who were issued a visa once and were subsequently refused must use the appointment system.

What To Submit?

  • Two receipts from TTPost for the visa processing fee. The fee can be paid at select TTPost branches.

  • Passport valid six months beyond the visa application date.

  • All previous expired passports with or without visas to the United States.

  • Electronically completed nonimmigrant visa application (DS-156).
  • One (1) passport-size photograph (attached to each visa application form) taken within the last 6 months, measuring 2" x 2" (roughly 50 mm square), with a white background and free of borders.

  • Current bank statement or evidence of financial ability to cover the costs of travel.

NOTE: Submission of any fraudulent document may render you permanently ineligible for a visa to the United States.
