U.S. Announces 2006 Foreign Service Examination

The United States Department of State has announced that the 2006 Foreign Service Written Examination will take place on April 8, 2006.
 
U.S. citizens residing in Trinidad and Tobago wishing to take the examination in Port of Spain are advised that the deadline for receipt of applications is March 1, 2006.  Detailed information on the requirements, procedure and submission of the on-line application can be found by visiting the State Department website http://www.careers.state.gov.
 
Following are some of the requirements that all applicants must fulfill to be eligible to take this examination:
a.      be a citizen of the United States
b.      be at least 20 years old and no older than 59 years of age on the date of the examination
c.      be available for worldwide assignment; not have been previously separated from the Foreign Service due to retirement or expiration of time in class
