Scholarship Winner Rhonda Chan Soo.  Full Size
Trinidadian student Rhonda Chan Soo is one of the success stories of College Fair 2006, sponsored by the United States Embassy in Port of Spain.  This talented and all-round student so impressed the representative from Furman University in South Carolina that she was awarded a scholarship for the academic year 2007-2008.

Rhonda is also the recipient of a national scholarship awarded last year by the government of Trinidad and Tobago.  At Furman, she plans to major in physics, with a minor in Mandarin or another foreign language.  A past student of St. Joseph's Convent in Port of Spain, Rhonda has a black belt in Taekwando and actively participates in a number of other sports.

Another Trinidadian, Kimberley Ghany, also a past student of St. Joseph's Convent in Port of Spain and national scholarship winner, is currently on scholarship at Furman.  Her outstanding performance encouraged the university to attend the college fair to recruit more T&T students.
