U.S. Embassy Holds First Iftar for Trinidad’s Muslim Community

On September 14, 2009, Chargé d’Affaires Len Kusnitz held the first ever Iftar dinner for some 40 members of Trinidad’s Muslim community.   Community leaders and local imams from different parts of Trinidad addressed the group to share traditional recitations, and a historical overview was provided by Dr. Nazza Mustapha of UWI.  After fast was broken at sundown, a halal feast was enjoyed by all.
