Notarial services are available to all U.S. passport holders and to foreign nationals with documents destined for use in the United States. Notarial services are executed by Consular Officers and may include documents to be signed before them, statements made under oath, affidavits and acknowledgments.

To have a document notarized, you must come in person to the office with the following documents:

  1. A valid passport or other photo identification

  2. The document to be notarized

  3. US$30.00 (or TT$ equivalent) for the first notarized signature and US$20.00 (or TT$ equivalent) for any subsequent notarized signatures required from the officer.

  4. If your document must also be witnessed, please bring your witness(es) with you.

The notarial window is open to the general public from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, except on Trinidad and Tobago and American holidays.

Marriage Celebrations: American diplomatic officers do not have legal authority to perform marriages. United States citizens contemplating marriage in Trinidad and Tobago should contact the Registrar General's Office, located at Registration House, 72-74 South Quay, Port of Spain, Trinidad (tel. 625-2681).
