2004 Press Releases
Faster Processing for Applicants with Electronic Visa Application Forms
March 17, 2004
As
part of an effort to minimize inconvenience to the traveling public,
applicants for U.S. non-immigrant visas can now expedite the
application process by filling out the application form(s)
electronically on their home or work computers.
Once the form is
completed, simply print it and bring it with you on the day of your
visa appointment. Do not send it by e-mail. Applicants with forms
completed electronically should enjoy faster processing on the day of
their interview.
The new form is available on the Internet,
along with instructions and lists of computer requirements, through the
U.S. Embassy Port of Spain website at:
http://usembassy.state.gov/trinidad.
This new procedure is not
mandatory, however, we strongly encourage its use to help us streamline
the entire application process and minimize waiting times. Those who
are unable to use the electronic form may still use the standard Visa
Application Form, which is available at the Marli St. entrance of the
U.S. Embassy, from several local travel agencies, and online at the
Embassy website or at http://travel.state.gov/visaforms.html
