U.S. Embassy Opens “Education Corner” at National Library

On Thursday, May 12, 2005 the United States Embassy will open its “Education Corner” at the National Library and Information System Authority (NALIS) in Port of Spain.
The Education Corner will serve as an extension of the services currently available at the Embassy’s Information Resource Center and was established at this centralized location to allow members of the public easy access to information on educational opportunities in the United States. Current information will be available on the more than 3,600 accredited universities and colleges in the United States, in addition to information on admission requirements, academic orientation, scholarship policies and standardized tests, such as the SAT, GRE and GMAT.
The Education Corner will be accessible during NALIS’ opening hours, and the Embassy’s Educational Advisor will be available for individual consultation on the first Monday of every month from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. The Education Corner is located on the first floor of the library in the adult section.
