Requesting Emergency/Expedited Appointments

In order to request an emergency/expedited appointment you must first complete the DS-160 online application form, pay the application fee and make an appointment.

After you have secured an appointment online, email your request for an early appointment to consularpos@state.gov

Your email should include the following information:

  1. Full name of the Visa Applicant
  2. Date of Birth of the Visa Applicant
  3. Passport Number of the Visa Applicant
  4. Your email address & contact number
  5. Current Interview Date
  6. Reason for expedited interview

Notification of the Appointment

Successful applicants for an emergency/expedited appointment will be contacted directly by our office to schedule your appointment. Unfortunately, due to the sheer volume of requests received, if you do not hear from our office within three days you may assume that your request has not been approved. Requests for emergency/expedited appointments, which are denied, will be notified by e-mail only.

Requests for earlier appointment for a second interview soon after a recent nonimmigrant visa refusal are generally not granted.
