U.S. Embassy remembers the victims of  9/11

In a ceremony held at the U.S. Embassy on September 11, 2008 several families of the 14 Trinidad and Tobago victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York remembered the seventh anniversary of that tragic event.  They were joined by the Embassy community, led by Ambassador Dr. Roy L. Austin, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Honorable Paula Gopee-Scoon. The ceremony included the laying of wreaths and flowers at the Embassy Monument dedicated to the September 11 victims, a moment of silence and the lowering of the United States flag to half staff.
