Trinidadian Journalist Returns from U.S. Regional Economic Program

On August 15, Mr. Raphael Lall, a reporter of the Trinidad Guardian, returned from a dynamic professional exchange program organized by the U.S. Department of State on Economic Recovery and the Evolving Global Financial System.  The three week program took the group to various cities including Washington, D.C., New York and Kansas City, Missouri, for in-depth briefings and discussions with a range of institutions including the Federal Reserve, U.S. Congress and private sector companies such as General Motors.  Mr. Lall was one of 12 participants in the hemisphere-wide delegation; others hailed from Barbados, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Jamaica, Mexico and the Netherlands Antilles.
