General Information on US-VISIT

Beginning on January 5, 2004, with certain exceptions, all travelers entering the United States with a visa at U.S. commercial international airports, and in 14 major seaports, are being electronically fingerprinted and photographed at immigration inspection stations. The new procedures are part of the US-VISIT program, which is designed to protect the United States and its international visitors against crime and terrorism.
