Visa Services

A person from another country that wishes to enter the United States (U.S.) must first obtain a travel document called a visa. There are many types of visas, but visas are divided into two groups: nonimmigrant and immigrant. A Nonimmigrant Visa (NIV) is for a temporary stay, while an Immigrant Visa (IV) is for those who want to live in the U.S. permanently.

Non-Immigrant Visas

Please note that the Non-Immigrant Visa Unit will be closed to all visa applicants on November 27, December 23-25, 30-31, 2009 and January 1, 2010.

Immigrant Visas

Please note that the Immigrant Visa Unit will be closed for the holidays, on November 27 and from December 18, 2009 to January 3, 2010 and will reopen on January 4th.
