Embassy Road Show to Point Fortin and Avocat Village, Southwest Trinidad 

 

 

 

 

On September 16, 2009, U.S. Embassy staff visited the Vessigny Secondary School in Point Fortin (SW Trinidad) to advise students of post-secondary educational opportunities in the U.S. scholarships and the university applications process.  Later that day, embassy staff also visited the Holy Name Girls Secondary School to address a group of over 70 students and provide a donation of books, posters and maps to the school library.  In the afternoon, the embassy team concluded its road trip with a presentation at the Avocat Vedic Primary School, emphasizing to students the importance of reading, research and learning about other countries.
